i really liked this collection of beats. they all go for roughly 2 minutes, doom has rapped over some, and others such as Joey Baddass and capital Steez (RIP) have also rapped over the unused beats. It is really interesting to hear the instrumental of a song that you love without the context of specifically searching for the instrumental.
This album can be enjoyed by both actively listening but also by having it on in the background, i find that if had on in the background it will actively catch your ear every few tracks and really draw you in, and i feel that that is a cool way of letting your subconscious pick what to actively listen too.
If i have one gripe it is that many of the beats lack progression, are just one loop over drums, a very interesting loop over creatively used drums mind, but this means that the beats rely on the sample really hooking you in, and obviously some of them wont. For the tracks where this is the case, there isn't much to keep you interested. This, however, only occurs occasionally as doom almost always picks samples that at the very least are interesting, if not downright amazing.
recommendation: if you hear a beat that sounds familiar i would suggest either going into the comment sectionand looking around, or copying the name of the track onto whosamples, where it will most likely have the song where the beat was used.
